Stout Risius Ross, LLC seeks a Vice President – Valuation & Financial Opinions for a position in Chicago, IL to perform the following: Direct and coordinate, through subordinate Financial Analysts, the provision of valuation and financial opinions to clients. Establish and maintain relationships with clients and provide assistance to clients with issues and network within communities to find and attract new business. Review and provide quantitative financial analysis and valuation of business enterprises and equity for financial reporting and tax reporting requirements by developing valuation models on financial instruments using option pricing theory, interest rate and credit models, Monte Carlo simulation, binomial trees, and contingent claims analysis. Review and provide complex contingent analysis, fixed income valuations, and valuation of share based awards for tax and financial reporting purposes and complicated equity units valuation. Review and provide quantitative financial analysis and valuation of intangible assets, including customer relationships, IPR&D, complete technology, trade names and trademarks, deferred revenue, and inventory. Review and provide quantitative financial analysis and valuation of business enterprises and equity for both tax reporting and financial reporting requirements utilizing Accounting Standards Codifications. Lead detailed discussions with Audit firms and Company management. Review / manage analysis and classification of risk and review and present reports that communicate valuation findings and recommendations to clients. Review regulatory reports required by laws, regulation and internal company policies. Oversee and conduct training for subordinate financial analysts. Telecommuting is permitted from any location within the contiguous 48 states.
Qualified applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or foreign equivalent and at least 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or substantially similar position. The 2 years of required experience must include: provide quantitative financial analysis and valuation of business enterprises and equity for financial reporting and tax reporting requirements by developing valuation models on financial instruments using option pricing theory, interest rate and credit models, Monte Carlo simulation, binomial trees, and contingent claims analysis; provide complex contingent analysis, fixed income valuations, and valuation of share based awards for tax and financial reporting purposes and complicated equity units valuation; provide quantitative analysis and valuation of intangible assets, including customer relationships, IPR&D, complete technology, trade names and trademarks, deferred revenue, and inventory; and review and provide quantitative financial analysis and valuation of business enterprises and equity for both tax reporting and financial reporting requirements utilizing Accounting Standards Codifications.
